As with the constitutionally protected Right to Freedom of Speech, the Second Amendment gives us the Right to Keep and Bear Arms. It is your responsibility as a lawful citizen to obtain the knowledge and training required to handle your firearms safely and to fully understand that the only guaranteed method of surviving a violent encounter is to avoid it in the first place.

Whether you seek training, information or have questions on any of our courses such as Personal & defense training for women by a TWAW instructor, the NRA’s Refuse to be a Victim®, USCCA® “Countering the Mass Shooter Threat”©2017 or USCCA® “Concealed Carry and Home Defense Fundamentals”©2018, we are available to help simply by contacting us.

The firearms and personal or home defense training provided by Shooting Stars USA is conducted only by certified instructors and is from approved course work from the National Rifle Association (NRA), United States Concealed Carry Association (USCCA), The Well-Armed Woman (TWAW) or other nationally recognized experts.  The content remains, therefore, up to date and consistently applied as it is developed from the same approved syllabus of study.

CLASSROOM

Classroom study using course books and exercises presented by instructors and students.  This can include PowerPoint slides and visual presentations using Shot Indicating Resetting Triger (SIRT®) training pistol or other training equipment per the course outline.

RANGE

Practical course work could include firearms range work for demonstrating firearms competency or visiting a public or private facility for active shooter threat work.

Do you know the Four Universal Safety Rules?  You will be asked to repeat these before you may enter the range.

TESTING

At various milestones in the course work or practical training sessions quizzes, short tests or demonstrations will be conducted to gauge information retention by the student and to seek feedback.  At the end of the course, all students that satisfactory complete the course objectives receive a certificate acknowledging their success signed by the principle course instructor.

Your safety in our classrooms is very important to us, so the following are strictly enforced!

The four Universal Safety Rules are strictly followed:

  • Treat all guns as though they are loaded.
  • Never point your gun at anything that you are not willing to destroy!
  • Keep your finger OFF the trigger and outside the trigger guard until you are on target and have made the decision to shoot!
  • Always be sure of your target and what is beyond it!

In Addition

  • Ammunition is never allowed in our classrooms.
  • Loaded firearms are prohibited in our classroom.
  • All static firearms in the classroom will retain orange or yellow chamber safety flags as empty chamber indicators.
  • Any firearm handled in the course for demonstration purposes must be cleared as empty and safe by at least two persons in the room, one being a Certified Range Safety Officer before any further handling is allowed.
